Acouple of views of the Reserve Blue YH #892 bred and exhibited by Dani Falcone, on an interesting note when the exhibitors first saw her the excitement rose....... but when she was judged for best blue she just did not want to show her stuff, it goes to show that when being juged they have that small amount of time to show if they have it or not..... in these photos she is still in a baby tail and is only 4 1/2 monthes old..... and I really look forward to seeing her as a yearling.
Old Red Cock PFF-3082 bred and exhibited by Bob Pommer: ( Reserve Red ).This bird is no newby in the show pen. He has won his colour class numerous times. I am particularily appreciative of his even dark red colouration.

Old Dilute Indigo Hen #PFF-2081 bred and exhibited by Bob Pommer: ( Best Indigo). This old girl was supposed to be retired, but as I was sitting by the door of my loft making out my CFC entry form, she walked up and posed at my feet. It was almost as though she were asking me to take her back to Michigan 1 more time. It was in Ann Arbor in 2004 that Joe Schabert made her Reserve Champion of Show. She tried her hardest this year, but in the end her age caught up to her and she got tired and took a nap just as Judge Frommolt was making his final decisions.
Young Powdered Cream Hen PFF-7042, bred and exhibited by Bob Pommer: ( Best Cream). This little girl looked "sweet" and "fresh" during Fridays judging, like a cream should.... but by time judging for Champion happened on Saturday afternoon she was overwhelmed by the action and was not at her best. I guess it could be said that her performance "soured" over time.
Young Bronze Saddle Cock # PFF-2112 bred and exhibited by Bob Pommer. ( Best Saddle). This bird was unbeated in his colour class this year with 4 consecutive wins under 4 different judges....J.Ferber ( Georgian Bay Cup), Andrew Kerns ( CCFC Annual-Brian Pogue Classic), Dani Falcone ( Fanarama), and Uwe Frommolt (CFC Annual). He never did finish his moult well and "tail issues" prevented me from preparing him so that he could consistently show what I can see in flashes.
Black Opal Young Hen #PFF-7022; bred and exhibited by Bob Pommer, ( Reserve Opal). This bird deserves some kind of award for toughness. She laid an egg 15 minutes before her class was called and her second in the box on the way home.
